Opportunity for non-scholarship student-athletes to play college baseball
Better to accept lower division or junior college scholarship & play than to walk-on and sit at D1 program.
Most D1 programs carry 25-45 players, leaving majority of student-athletes on bench.
Walk-on must be better than scholarship players to earn playing time or scholarship money.
Free
access to same resources as scholarship players: weight room, training room, & academic advisors.
Paid
access to same resources as scholarship players: dorm room, dining room, & tutors.
